I like the ingenuity, engineering, work and creativity that goes into these, but even if I had a spare $100k I would still not buy either, lol.....but hey someone will buy it somewhere and be happy with it, the same would go for tuner cars and sport bikes (for me at least)

You cant exceed what the original manufacturer sticker says on the door jamb no matter what mods you make.......Even if it's an F750 chassis! :CWL:
That's ridiculous if its used for personal use. Important if its used for commercial use.

Also, a vehicle like that could be registered as a home built vehicle. You can always peel the sticker off.

Bottom line is that that kind of limitation is irrelevant for a personally owned vehicle. And spending money on a conversion like that makes no sense for a commercial vehicle.

(I've towed a 10,000 lb 30 ft Formula with a 5000 lb rated Chevy 1500 van. It was ugly, but nothing broke. Ha. Like George Dubya once said. When I was young and irresponsible, I was young and irresponsible)

What about this one?

FB_IMG_1632856664898.jpg
I was betting this was a TX truck before I even saw the license plate. I don't care much for the "wagon wheel" look.............but I would definitely drive the living crap out of that thing for at least 30 minutes just to see how much stuff I could tear up. Then I'd call the wife for bail money.

I was joking..........Just regurgitating what all the weight police on the internet say!

I'm the king of modifying vehicles, adding/subtracting axles, and making my own GVWR labels after such mods.

Your tow was perfectly legal here in CA regardless of what your sticker says. Only law I can find on our books about towing any specific weight even though the weight Nazis say otherwise.

21715.
(a) No passenger vehicle regardless of weight, or any other motor vehicle under 4,000 pounds unladen, shall draw or tow more than one vehicle in combination, except that an auxiliary dolly or tow dolly may be used with the towed vehicle.
(b) No motor vehicle under 4,000 pounds unladen shall tow any vehicle weighing 6,000 pounds or more gross.
(Amended by Stats. 1983, Ch. 708, Sec. 8.)

Then you're the king of being truly unsafe. Making your own GVWR labels? REALLY? Scofflaw much?

Personally, I don't care what you do that endangers you or I suppose your family/passengers but I don't want to be around anyone like you on the road because you're unsafe to me and mine.

Flame away but you're just wrong. Auto manufacturers know what their products are safely capable of, and you do not.

I knew there was a troll out there looking to make a score!

So you would prefer I left the original 48k gvwr label be on the vehicle when it only has the axles to carry 36k safely after it was modified? Hell no.........I made a new label derating the vehicle to its new capacity!

Btw....you know nothing about my safety practices. In this case I retired my dually pickup and upgraded to a Peterbilt to haul my rv in the name of safety!

It looks to be a gladiator with a dually axle swap in the back not a body swap. Would really need more info on it to tell anything else.

Not my cup of tea but I enjoy seeing this elaborate stuff some people can do. I appreciate creative people with mechanical minds. I'm the opposite of that.

Front wheel has a reversed offset wheel like a traditional dually. Also front fender flare is larger and doesn’t look like the stocker

To me it doesn't look like a body dropped onto something else. Looks like a simple build.

They added an extra wheel and tire out back, made possible by changing wheels to a dually style. Then they fabricated some rear fender extensions. Done.

Probably drives, hauls, and tows exactly like stock. But it gets attention.

They did more than that. There was a body extension also.
