I may have asked this question already if so im sorry. Can the factory LED halos be programmed to do anything other than illuminate in solid white. I'd like to get an amber signal halo but I've had issues with aftermarket.

Pretty sure factory can’t be programmed to go to amber. I’m looking at the Diode Dynamics headlights for this. Multiple functions in the same light including an Amber DRL, turn signal, and off-road light function. They’re pricey though.

The turn-signal aspect of your question is achieved through switchbacks - that's how Diode Dynamics (and presumably others) do it. The OEM wire harness going to the headlight simply doesn't have enough "information" to perform this - it would need to know when the blinkers are on, cut the DRL power, "blink" with the turn signals, then know when to switch back (kinda where the name comes from).

In theory, you could wire a switchback module in-line of the headlight DRL, but you're not going to get amber coloring. I'd be extremely surprised if the DRL doesn't just use white LED chips (because why would they have color...), so it's pretty much a non-starter - it's a hardware issue, not a software one. And given how tightly tucked the factory harness is (and how thin the wires are), personally I wouldn't want to be hacking up a solution for this.

As @Bandit’s Lair (and I) said: DD supports this, and mine have been flawless for...holy crap, I've had them for 3 years now. Not sure what issues you've had or what brands you've tried, but DD is very solid.

I remember seeing a headlight that looked OEM don’t think it was Diode dynamics that did various options you are inquiring about. I’ll see if I can find it and post it.
