First off congrats on having a child that has decided to serve Canada. I made that choice 26 years ago and am now retired (3 years).

I liked the body color fenders and have an Overland. (8.4" u connect, heated seats and steering, bed coating, upgraded 33" tires and rims, and mostly stock) I can't quite get 35's but once I get my 2" spacers I will be able to. I do not plan on doing hardcore off-roading, maybe a few light to moderate trails and with an aftermarket disconnect It will be almost as capable as a Rubi, just a little less cost on the pocket book.

Regardless of what is purchased, just make sure it meets the intent, of the rider, not the purchaser because is a Rubi really required if she isn't doing moderate to hardcore offroading, just wiehg the benefits of the rubi compared to other models and make the right choice to what will fit in the budget and lifestyle.

Best of luck and say CHIMO!! to you daughter and see what she says. so you know, it is a Royal Canadian/ Royal Canadian AirForce Engineer greeting.

Thank you and yes I will pass that along. She’s my rockstar. She was made section commander at 18. In charge of 7 other men. Going through leadership training also. Doing a 4yr forensic program.

You can fit 35’s on a Rubicon with no issues in which case you would just need a leveling kit— you may need to get a lift and/ or lift + leveling kit for a Sport w/ Max Tow.
To fit 35s easy on a sport, you could also just get the Rubicon fender flares installed instead of a lift. the Rubicon really only sits at most a 1/2" taller that the max tow (compared my max tow to my parents Rubicon to verify).

Looks good to me. What level kit did you use? I was thinking maybe a 2” mopar lift and 37s.....but level and 35’s would work better I think

If you want to keep the cost down then you can get Sport with max tow package so you can get 4.10 gears. Also with Apple car play and android do you still need the NAV or can you just get away with the 7 inch screen

Rough Country 2.5", but I think you only need the 1.5" because 2.5" makes it nose high requiring 3/4" in the rear

Max tow with 35" tires with 1.75" leveling kit front, .75 rear.

Paul,
good job on her, an MP is a hard trade to get into, and enjoy....a lot of people have a bad impression of the people in that trade, but can be very rewarding and ability to have postings overseas.

If you are trying to get the most for your money I would highly suggest ordering what you want. There are usually better deals to be had by being patient and waiting to take delivery.

Hello folks

I’m wanting to surprise my daughter in June with a new gladiator.

She’s in the military and loves the mobi “tan” color or white.

Important things to her.
-color
-nav and music
-wheels
-automatic
-Roof black hardtop

Important things to me
-safety
-truck sits level with 35” tires
-4:10 gear

I was hoping for some help. I see some trucks with black fenders and roof. What looks best?

She’s fine with cloth seats (I like tan) as long as they are heated.

This is a complete surprise to her. I’m 50yrs old and myself personally have owned 1 new car with a value of $25k cdn. I’m having a hard time with $65k for a Jeep truck lol
First and foremost.....PLEASE, thank your daughter for her service to this great country of ours !

Now, lets get down to business..... IMHO, your best "bang for the buck" would be the Sport S with the Max Tow package (4.10 rears for bigger tires), cold weather package (heated seats/wheel/mirrors) Customer preferred pkg. (Usually gets you the 7.4" radio that is NAV capable, as most kids use WAZE nowadays) and can be had in either hard or soft top. I got mine in that setup for $41K+

You would lose gobi, but I would second ordering. With her wanting a black top and black fenders, plus cloth seats. And 4:10 gearing being a requirement. A custom Rubicon build could end up being a lot cheaper than the ones on the lot. My rubicon ended up than most of the Max tow sports in my area.

If you are set on 35s instead of 33s then a Max Tow and a mopar lift at the dealer might be your best option. You might get lucky finding a gobi here but it will be a drive.

I have a Sport w/ Max Tow and 35 x 12.5's with no lift/leveling kit and I do not rub at all. And I agree with the above comments... 35's on a sport look very comparable to a Rubicon on 37's due to the difference in fender height.

Have you gotten flexy at all on trails with your setup? I'd imagine those tires will rub at full turn/flex, but if not I'd be interested to have confirmation.
