I’d ask for them but most times they won’t give them back and end up selling hem on eBay
Oh, I’d be challenging that. Those parts aren’t theirs to sell. Most times, I’d guess people don’t want parts back. But if I could use them or make money off them, I’d love to hear them explain how they’re more entitled to the parts than I am.

Check the frame. Check the gaps in all the panels for any that are changed or inconsistent. Open and close all the doors.

My JKUR was rear-ended about a year ago. Looked fine other than one brake light and the tailgate, but the front passenger door was opening/closing funny. I ended up getting a brand new MOPAR frame because mine was tweaked, which is what caused the door closure problem. That was about $12k in repairs.

I don't know about the collision center keeping the parts, but the insurance company might have a claim to them since they are paying to have them replaced.

I've been to Schreiver a few times for work. :D

Glad you are both ok. Well at least the bumper is a finite replaceable part. Really too bad that FCA had to put the plastic bits on our steel bumpers, I would have preferred straight up steel.

I asked for the old parts and the shop replied that they typically, "Throw them away". Yeah, right. So I told them instead of throwing them away, they could simply put the old parts in the bed of my Gladiator. They said they would see what they could do.
