Been a good rig at the mountain but getting traded for a Rubicon w full time 4wd tomorrow. Commuting in severe weather hasnt been fun in the Sport but it does get the job done and is a little beast once I'm here.

We have snow and ice all across the metro area now. It's a mess for sure, I prefer snow like my in laws. We will come visit you when we want not the other way around lmao...
I have family in Salem, Veneta, Cottage Grove, and Rainbow. I think they're all without power right now except their generators.

My sister in Rainbow says too many powerlines above ground. No chance of burying those though. It's better to cut the trees back but like you said there's just too many of them. I love trees and mountains. And rivers and lakes.

Rainbow is in a decent size Mountains range it would definitely be hard. We do have quite a bit of land slide time to time. I think the main reason we don't is the cost and population density is not there. When it does get big enough its too late and cost is too much. 80% of our power comes from Bonneville dam, long ways to travel.

Yeah that would be quite an endeavor. Especially with the low population density.
The tree huggers wouldn’t let em trim the trees by the lines either so I guess they’re stuck with it

Eh tree hugers don't bother that portion. Your talking 1000s of miles line that would have to be clear. If you drove around oregon a lot you would understand. My buddy works for PGE he had been working 20hr days. Lots of our power we produce heads to California as well.

A lot more work than it’s worth.
That tree trimming suggestion was from my older sister to my younger sister who lives up there a few days ago but yeah, way too many trees for that.

The do a lot of trimming and lots of maintenance each year but it Is A LOT lol. If you ever get a chance, drive up 101 to seaside Oregon, come through Portland, head over Mt. Hood to bend. It's an awesome drive.

We’ll be going up for two weeks in late April or May. The only thing set right now is four days at EFR. The rest we’re going to get around somewhere we just haven’t planned it out yet.

Yup. I go camping with my brother from Salem and ride motorcycles. Have to visit family in Veneta and Cottage Grove but we plan on being vagabonds for the whole two weeks and get in some camping and fishing. I could spend a year up there and not hit everything.

Yes, but seems to be a rare option regardless of trim. Most in my area come with command trac part time or rock trac part time(Rubi). My dealer found only 2-3 JT within 300 miles that had the full time option, all Rubis. A lot of sales people didnt even know what I was talking about.
