but you can try to get it done with the TSB unless they just eventually make it a recall.. . . the new steering box
Good luck with the TSB seems to be pretty hit or miss getting dealership to do the fix.but you can try to get it done with the TSB unless they just eventually make it a recall.
Yes i have seen people do that.Ah I could make the purchase contingent on my dealership doing the fix. Anybody tried that?

That would be the best thing have them make sure to upgrade the steering box if its the old one in the JT you are looking to buy
LSD was available on all 2020 trims except Rubicon and Mojave, which for obvious reasons they don't need.Full time 4 wheel drive option, and limited slip diff.
Is this a safety issue?earlier build dates have issues with the Mopar and other brake controllers
Its a Mojave and I do have the window sticker. How can I find the build date and then figure out if it has the new steering box? Also note that the steering slop problem isn't apparent on every MY2020. Which trim level are you considering? Build date? Do you have a window sticker?
The earlier builds will throw warning lights and disable systems until restarted if the manual brake button is pushed with no foot on the brakes. Is this a safety issue?

The star publication stated that builds in 2019 were affected and 2020 builds should be okay, there is another thread on this issue if you would like more information. The star document is also in that thread. My opinion would bet to look for a build from mid 2020.Any idea about what date that seemed to get fixed?
