Planning an Ouray trip (my first) after I get back from Florida. You are welcome to join.
Let me know when. I want to do Alpine Loop and hit Crystal Mill again (haven't been back there since 2007) in the Gladiator and use my TJ for the harder stuff. Could do Engineer, Black Bear, and Poughkeepsie Passes while out near Ouray.

I lived off the part of Templeton Gap that runs between Union and Austin Bluffs before we moved out to the suburbs to die.

Google street view caught my dad in his driveway. Saved a screen capture of it for nerd posterity!

I was at Fontanero and Wahsatch for many years. Now over by Wasson.

Such a great neighborhood - so close to downtown. I hate not being close to my favorite places to grab food or the Bonn shopping center where I did my shopping.

Man. I hated living there. Got robbed more in the 15 years that I lived there than the 23 on the south side of Chicago. Even had my Audi stolen out of my driveway there. Harleys riding past and pinning it. Constantly had people throwing trash in my yard. One woman pulled up and dumped trash in my front yard and when I called her out, she threatened to call the police on me! I was like, nah...I'll call em for you.

Had a homeless dude threaten me at the Bonn once after rugby practice. He wanted to fight me because I would not take him to the bus station. I was covered in mud and blood from practice and had a rotisserie chicken I wanted to eat. Was like, "OK I got my mouth guard. Let's go."

Dude! I'd run into homeless and pass-through criminals along the T-Gap trail from time to time too. It was fun checking them because they are used to people being terrified and immediately backing down.

When I worked for CSPD we would find wanted people hanging out and camping behind the Bonn Safeway pretty regularly and every now and then trying to shake down the girls working at the Tasty Freeze. When people get released from M1 holds at Penrose and have no transportation they end up in the neighborhood until they move on to where ever they came from.

It's certainly not the neighborhood it was before. You should've drilled the homeless guy in the mouth with a spin pass for delaying the rotisserie goodness.

HA! Yes. Did not have a ball, just a chicken. I have lots of friends on CSPD. Y'all are good people.

We had words. He backed down. But really I just like to live my life and be left alone.

I taught at Palmer for many years before I moved to my new school. Served as Dean there as well. After all the crap the homeless say to the kids and the teen girls....It gets old.

Isn't this whole forum just conversations that loosely follow a given topic?

In a technical or issue related thread I would wholly agree, but this is something as insignificant as google and anything to do with it. A little friendly banter between friends might spark the interest of others who might not have heard about the trail they were discussing.
Would like to also give a big thumbs up to both of them for being Educators and LEOs.

It's all friendly. @Gvsukids is good people. Y'all know I'll happily wheel with any of you and grab a beer or whiskey around the fire after.
