It’s my arm rest when I drive down the road, especially with doors off. What does it matter what I use them for? I hang my dry cleaning and the wife’s lingerie on hangers from them in the back seat. Kidding, about the lingerie part. The pillar grab handle isn’t something I use other than to get in/out. I would pull on screw mount grab handles—a guy in this forum broke the screws on his.![]()
What do you use them for, we already got grab handles in the truck front and back. You don't need the ones over the roll bars in the JTs
I'm just kidding around. I drive with my left hand so they are useless to me, just something extra hanging there. I hand those same ones in my JKU and they never got in the way of the hard top or soft top. I would think they would be fine in the JT as wellIt’s my arm rest when I drive down the road, especially with doors off. What does it matter what I use them for? It’s that back portion of the roll bar and the way the softtop frame mounts to/rides/follows it. I’m thinking that if the Mopar handles don’t work because the hook that goes over the top to screw in then these might not either. Someone on here has to have purchased the set of four by now.I'm just kidding around. I drive with my left hand so they are useless to me, just something extra hanging there. I have a hardtop, and they work well for me. I'm not sure how these will work on a soft top. I've heard from others in the forum that the soft top attaches to the roll bar, but I'm not sure. GPCA has a few different designs, but I went with these (a little pricey). The handles are aluminum and pretty comfortable for myself as well as passengers (front and back). When not in use, they fold up out of the way (not really in the way when they are down). I tried the ones that screw in to the roll bar, but they kept swinging and tapping the windows, so I returned those and got these. Very happy with them.GPCA grab handles, who has them installed front & back? How do they fit with the hardtop and the softtop? Since the Mopar handles don’t play well with the softtop, I am trying to find alternatives.
All of the features you describe are why I want these. Also, they’re on sale right now. I need to know on the softtop still.I have a hardtop, and they work well for me. Why not ask GPCA. Wouldn't they know what fits and what doesn't?I need to know on the softtop still.
But do you have a softtop and how do the handles work with the rear softtop hardware, if you have one?Do yourself a favor and get the more expensive ones. GPCA makes 2 different sets, the cheap ones have a plastic handle, feel terrible and your hand hits the velcro. The more expensive set have metal handles which are sturdy, have a nice cover over the handgrip, and have a full piece that wraps around the rollbar instead of 2 cheap pieces of velcro.

Nope, sorry have a hard top. They don’t need much clearance, if there’s 1/4 inch then it’ll be fine. But do you have a softtop and how do the handles work with the rear softtop hardware, if you have one?
