Jimmy, thank you for checking into this. I appreciate you showing the pages and walk through the programming. I agree it would be to their benefit to be able to read the static 5 digit pin. In the meantime I will contact my guy at the dealership and he will help me obtain my static 5 digit pin so I can program my fob.

AlfaOBD can not obtain the PIN either (FYI, AlfaOBD and Jscan both use the same chrysler program to obtain the info they use to build their apps)
I can tell you without a doubt, that Jscan or AlfaOBD can not program a fob on the newer RF Hubs even with the correct PIN. I’ve tried it every which way with multiple different RF Hubs from multiple different 2018+ vehicles (with the exception of 2018+ ram classic).
Actually, I’ll go try again right now, since I happen to have a 2021 Ram 2500 module set on my bench setup right now. I’ll get some pics of what goes on.
Every time you show up I learn so many things!!
I wonder if Jscan developer is in the US, I could send him my programmer to figure out how it pulls the PIN.
Europe - you can reach him best via a messenger message on is FB page (OBD JSCAN facebook page.)
He usually responds best and fastest that way.

Wow, I just looked and it was very recently updated - 02.02.2023

I didn’t even know this, but a guy I collaborate with on mods borrowed my programmer, and already sent him the logs, which he used to dial in the programming, and is still messing with pulling the PIN.

The saga continues.. dealership called me back and told me the Jt has a rolling 4 digit code and it only lasts 2 hours. I tried to explain I need a static 5 digit code, he he said nope its a rolling 4 digit code. Theu want to charge me $50 for the code, and another $50 to add the sales code to my vin.

Dealership can’t get the static PIN, they don’t have the equipment to do so. The only capability given to them is to retrieve the 4 digit PIN that wiTECH uses. It doesn’t actually “expire” so to speak. Since that PIN is only used with the micropod2 with a live connection to the cloud based wiTECH 2, it is generated only when queried for your VIN. So, it actually stays the same, until someone queries for it again, and a new PIN is “set up” for your VIN.
Most dealerships that I know of now charge for the PIN. I’m not sure what is meant by adding a sales code to the vin for the pin, though.

Adding sales code to the vin is the actual option code for remote start. This way when the dealer has to flash the computer for any reason, the remote start will not disable. It will be stored just as it would if remote start came as an option from the factory. If the dealer doesn't have the static 5 digit code how do I get it?

Oh, I got ya. I didn’t know you were adding remote start too.
The only way to get the static PIN is to use an aftermarket fob programmer that’s capable.

I just started looking into programing a new fob and this old thread came up. I'm going to guess that no one has figured out how to obtain the 5 digit code yet? I like to think of myself a computer literate and I hate to sound like a 13 yr old hacker but couldn't the fob be cloned? There are DIY cloners for everything from garage doors to cell phones.
