Headlight switch

Hi guys, just wonder if anyone has the same issue as I have. Has anyone replaced the light switch with the one with a turn off setting? Is it a plug and play? Or do I need to take to a dealer. Occasionally I need all lights to be off while at idle. Hopefully someone can help me out.

I know in some other vehicles if you put the emergency brake on it turns off all the lights.

If you have the OEM LED pkg on the JT the E brake will not kill the halo on the headlights.

I see you're in Canada, so since drls are required there, maybe the setting is missing on yours? On mine (US spec with LEDs), there's an option to disable the drls completely on the head unit

I'm guessing what you want is not 'legal' in Canada, otherwise the Off position would be there. If you can get a knob assembly delivered to you, it would likely require AlfaOBD to program it, since the dealer is probably not going to help you install an 'illegal' modification.

It will only turn off if it’s on off position. Mine doesn’t have it.

Not on mine. No options to turn off on uconnect.

Got jscan to turn off the halo. Didn’t want to spend extra for tazer. Mopar has it fo $70 CAD. Will see if it works by just swapping the switch

Didn’t had the chance to ask them yet. Will ask them on my first service schedule

I got one from a used wrangler 2020 (from the scrap yard) the pins looks identical in numbers but when i plugged it it did not recognise the off option. Plus it is not very responsive.

i will post an update later, hopefully this week to address if its a hardware or a software issue.

Well, unfortunately the best workshop in our region said it needs more time since his computer was up to date for 2020 makes. The good news it requires programming only. I will wait until he calls me back with the new update release for 2021 and more.
