Im looking for better shocks for the rear. I have a drawer system that carries my kitchen setup and my recovery gear and bed rack with roof top tent all the time. I never take them off. My factory shock on the passenger side is bad.. What shocks out there can handle the load for weight i carry all the time? Ive got the AEV 2" spacer lift also. Thanks.

Sounds like you need some Fox or King 2.5s if you spend time off road. That's plenty of weight that the extra size is more than worth it to reduce fade.

You probably want air bags. I don’t think shocks will be your answer.

I think both responses are right - shocks do NOT support weight or carry the load, but - for added weight you need better control, and shocks do control the spring oscillations and you need more control with more weight.
Just don't expect shocks to lift or hold the truck up - they do not.

IMO - get heavy duty shocks, but if you need to support weight and prevent sag, look into something like air bags (or better springs)

I should've mentioned.. my passenger rear tire is wearing odd on just the outside tread. Ive had similar issues on my old work truck and the shocks failed causing the tires to wear out on the outside tread.
My JT now has 23k miles. I first noticed it at 18k miles.. I rotate my tires every oil change. Every time I rotate them.. 5k miles later.. the passenger side rear has very odd tire wear.

I'd look into alignment issues - shock can cause cupping, that sort of thing, but not wear on the specific part of the tire. They "cup" or have a patchy wear because the shocks aren't holding the tire to the road - they let the tire bounce, causing cupping wear.
Make sure you aren't running under-inflated for the LOAD you have, too.
Outside tread wear? Not likely shocks.
What about a shock would cause wear on the outside edge?
They don't support weight, they don't impact alignment.

A vehicle will not handle well in wind, they'll lean or roll more on curves or corners and the tires will cup.
