Help identifying this part

I just got a 2023 gladiator overland about a month ago and noticed this metal plate looking piece it is only on the passenger side there is nothing on the driver side, I have tried looking at other gladiator and wrangles around town as I see them and they seem to not have this plate. Is this normal or what is this?

Pretty much. Helps stop the front axle from pushing under the passenger side in an offset front impact and flipping the truck over.

Yes, the way the suspension is setup. The pass side is more likely to get pushed under the jeep. It was added in 2023+ to help get a better frontal offset impact rating. I have yet to hit it on anything off road, and if doesn't interfere with add-ons.

2026+ have updated crash bars on both sides now.

Of course I see thread today (but thanks for the information).... I just ordered a set of running boards for my 2016 Gladiator. Hopefully I won't have any problem putting them on.

The 26+ crash bars look to be an issue with aftermarket items, you will start seeing different steps and rock sliders…..Jack

Mine has(had) them and I added Mopar steps. The front area near those brackets were a little crowded so I had to use a universal joint and an extension when installing them. Other than that there was no other issue of them getting in the way. Other steps or rails may or may not be an issue.
