What lug nuts do we need to get? prefer black, high quality, and no requirement for a specific chuck if possible
Hello, we have a brand new 2022 Gladiator Rubicon Diesel for use in our non-profit courses for veterans in need.
We have Fifteen52 smoothie rims which are 17 x 8.5", 0 offset, and 4.75" backspacing (5x5 on stock axles) mounted on 37"s
OEM lugnuts are too fat to fit in rim so we purchased M14 x 1.5" cone seat (60 degrees), 22 mm hex, Length: 1.06 Inch (26.92mm) Width: 1.06 Inch (26.92mm) Height: 1.54 Inch (39.12mm) which seems to be the standard that everybody is using for aftermarket rims.
The lugs go into the hole fine but aren't long enough for the socket to get any bite before the lug disappears into the rim. The pic of the two lugs on the wheel isn't tight, just as far I as I could it by hand before it disappeared. All our previous rims had the conical part of the lug seat against the outside of the rim so this is weird for us. See pics (the silver one is OEM and the black is aftermarket) and thanks for the help
