I have decided I do not need the max tow option. I was considering towing an RV but I don't think that will actually happen.
Why can't I find one like this for $37,000 in North Carolina?

i looked at it on the dealer website. $4500 of their discount requires that you have a trade and use their particular financing.
also, we live in the South Business Center, the West business has different rebates. dealers must use your home zip code when figuring rebates. Same with VA, theyre in the mid atlantic BC

Max Tow and a hard top would do it for me. As it is, with my Nighthawk and a class IV hitch I'm at 6000 lb capacity. A re gear to 4:10s and a high power fan would get me very close to Max Tow spec.

Sorry, doesn't work that way. You can't build your way to max tow numbers.

Your rating is your rating, for towing and for payload. Some mods, like tires larger than stock max tow tires can actually subtract.

Oh , yes, no doubt.
But as for technical spec, you can run equivalent equipment.
I would never advise towing over your sticker rating unless being pursued by zombies or enraged protesters.

I actually shopped Kernersville when I was looking to buy. The jeep i was after that they were getting actually sold before they stocked it. I took the add to my local jeep dealer and asked them if they would meet that price on an identical jeep they had and they refused!
