Hey y'all. I'm new to the jeep/off-road world. Any advice would help!

Yuuup, it's ok, I'm happy with the results. 4.5yrs, 75k miles, and several offroad trips (less than I want) without any issues. Originally, my budget build was getting everything including lift, 35" tires, wheels, bumper, winch, recovery gear, decals.......upgrading later as needed. Since i had zero issues, when the cheap 35's became cupped at 40k miles, I moved up to 37" Pats and did not want to change any geometry, angles, caster, etc. I then did the fender chop to make clearance while I disco offroad. Still pleased after 75k smiles. The rear stock shocks are getting a lil bouncy, so it's about time to get some 5100's.

I'd first look into replacing the front bumper, maybe a winch, and getting some better side armor. Then take it out, and learn what the limitations you face, and upgrade from that.

That is a good looking rig. You are one of many who has a good testimony about RC kits. Is that a 2.5 or 3.5 suspension? The 37's fit nice with those fenders. I have zero experience with any suspension so your feedback is much appreciated. Thanks for the pics and the reply!

Thanks for the reply. I talked to guy at a lift shop locally and he gave me the same advice as you did. He said, "add all the weight on first and then choose the suspension lift". I will be looking into the bumper and side armor options. It's hard to tell if price is equal to quality on a lot of the bumper and side armor available. I will have to check out some threads on here to see what others say about their gear.

If that is the case make sure you have medkit to plug holes, coms, sufficient ammo for your selected weapons systems...

Thank you. It's a 2.5" level kit, i had to add .75" puck to the rear to actually get level tho. Those flares are just my stock 2-peice that I split. Cost was $30 total, just to add turn signals. I created supports for the flappy flares for free. Anyway, the RC kit has been just fine for me, but the only rock/shelf crawling I do is on Drummond Island e/o year.

My only complaint with this setup was the N3 shocks. Don’t waste your money on those. Either go with the V2 Monotube or grab some Fox 2.0s/Falcon 2.1/Bilstein 5100/etc.

Thank you! I was checking out your truck as well. I’m thinking maybe I’ll hold off on a bigger lift and just see how 37s fit with my current set up. Yours is sitting pretty nice!

They are aftermarket. No rubbing anywhere, even at full articulation

Med kit (check) trauma kit (check) firearm (check) needs more ammo and working on my HAM radio license. I just want to be prepared for any scenario that can happen. haha a bigger gas tank and tire inflater will be a good too!

It is good to hear testimonials of people who do things a little different and are happy with their results. It looks like you test your jeep to make sure it performs well. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats!! Welcome to the obsession. My advice is to drive it a while and see how you use it and buy quality parts to upgrade weaknesses. You’ll be amazed by how much you can do with a mild setup like you have. I hated the clutch and went with Centerforce and love it now. Good luck !!
