High gear at low speeds

All of a sudden, I noticed, my gladiator is toggling between six and mainly eighth gear at relatively low speeds. Examples below.

in the 40s mph I'm in 6/7th gear. High 50s and 60s I'm in 8th. From a stop I jump nearly up to 4th gear around 25mph which makes me climb quicker.

I never seen eighth gear this much ever. Somethings definitely going on. Only thing I've done recently was install an AEV spacer lift in my garage but I don't see how that would have any effect on the transmission. This literally happened right after the install. Yeah I had the axle lowered and disconnected a few things, per instructions. But everything got put back

what should I look for??

Normal mines always geared way up if way back off the throttle at those speeds and those are consistent with mine and I have 87000 on mine. Run her!!
