Hi, I have a 2025 Gladiator Mojave X and while driving it earlier today I noticed a high pitch noise from the speakers. It's just at the edge of my hearing (I'm getting old - 50+, and my hearing isn't as good as it used to be), but I noticed it because the entertainment (head unit?) was set to bluetooth and didn't have a connection to my phone active, and the Jeep was sitting at a red light and ASS had the engine turned off. So basically abnormally quiet in the cabin.

The noise only stopped when I turned the radio off, adjusting the volumen didn't change the high pitch noise. It stayed constant. It's like a coil noise from electronics, like a choke is missing. I wouldn't expect this from Jeep, but who knows.

Has anyone else had this problem,, "do they all do that" or is my radio/head unit or amp defective? Search didn't turn up any issues like this, so I think it's just my Gladiator, not all of them.

Let me know so I can figure out if I need to talk to the dealer about it.

thanks in advance!

Not heard of this, and I also dont know if the newer headunits are different in a way that would make them fail in this way....but I think the first thing I would check would be the electric power steering pump. You may just be mistaking it for a sound coming from the speakers.

I appreciate the link to the pump noise, but I'm pretty certain that is not the cause in my case. The noise stops if I turn off the radio. Starts when I turn on the radio. It follows the power to the headunit.

Change the station - that's likely Taylor Swift............

Seriously, a high-pitched whine could be electrical interference - up to and including an alternator diode.

My hearing may not catch what you describe, but my wife would ask about it immediately. So I have to say, mine doesn't do that - and it's a 2025 Mojave X

Visit to the dealership with the information provided.

Thanks for the confirmations. It seems this is somewhat unique to my situation and therefore a possible problem with the Jeep's headunit (or possibly my own head). I'll update if I can make any progress with the dealership in diagnosing it.

I did a little more testing and actually the noise follows the status of the touchscreen. When it's on it squeels, when it's off it's quite, so it's more specific than just the headunit getting power. It's the screen getting power. just FYI.
