No Sound from Radio

Is this happening when your phone is connected to your truck or jeep or whatever we are calling it right now? If so, CarPlay will kick the audio off as it switches to some other app. You need to select audio and reselect the source. If that’s not it, I got nuthin’.

so it’s an error with CarPlay? My phone was plugged in immediately after start up or before (can’t remember).

Depending on the app you have selected on your phone, it can disable your JT’s audio. Easiest way to tell is to select the audio page on your JT‘s screen and look down the left side of the page to see which source is selected (AM, FM, Sirius, etc.). If your sound switched off, there is a good chance none are now selected, so touch which ever source you want and hopefully your audio comes back.

I'm not 100%, but I think I selected all sources but only AM seemed to fix it. It happened twice so I tried a lot.

The radio was working just fine yesterday. I get in this morning and it is dead quiet. I check the volume and it is not at zero. I check the Mute and it is not on. There just isn't anything coming from the speakers to include navigation instructions, phone, Bluetooth, Sirius, etc. It's like the mute button is stuck but I've made sure it is not on. I turned the vehicle off and made sure the system was powered down. Restarted it and still the same problem. I tried recycling the power on the unit itself and no luck. I've tried everything short of pulling fuses. I thought I would see if anyone has any ideas before I set up a appointment with the service dudes.

Yes, FM, AM, Satelite, I tried all buttons i see. No luck!

When mine did this, i held the power button down for a long time, prob 30-45 seconds. it seemed to reboot the radio and it fixed it.

This just happened to mine after a bunch of downloads.

Am/fm grayed out, no audio, volume control doesn't go up,

It even said radio unavailable on start up.
