I haven't need to do this on my Gladiator, but on my old FJ40, I did it all the time and highly recommend using a strap to hold it against the windshield frame if you are outside in case a gust of wind decides to try and close it on you. :surprised:

Would sure make engine R&R easier ,not that I'm planning that on a new truck . On my old stuff it's remove hood, find someplace to store it where it won't get damaged then reinstall and line up the hinges . A pain .
