Saw the low profile hood protector and the in channel window deflectors by weathertech. Are these worth it or just a gimmick?

Depends on where you live and your personal preference. The hood protector can help prevent rock chips if you travel on a lot of gravel roads. The window deflectors are awesome if you want some fresh air when it's raining. I prefer the in-channel versions vs the stick-on for aesthetics.

I have had both on my first JKU and loved the window deflectors. The hood deflector, I removed after a couple of months. The air turbulence, it caused, interfered with the windshield washer. Instead of the washer directing an even flow of fluid to the windshield, the turbulence blew the fluid everywhere, especially at faster speeds. On the interstate, the windshield received more of a misting, which was almost useless.

Noted. I think I’ll pass on the hood one and get the in channel window deflectors. Thanks
