Decided to throw this on, mainly for the looks.
it does look pretty good.. It does involve cutting the OEM exhaust.
very straightforward to do if you are interested in one. It doesn't say so in the instructions however the picture in the instructions has the guy using a manual handsaw..... Make sure you use one of those. Unless you have a ultra-mini sawzall... I checked and Home Depot does not make one small enough.
ever so slight change in sound is noticeable when at idle but being very honest, no one else would notice unless they drove your jeep every day.
I did have the roxblox (spelling?) mudflaps. I really like those and they are kind of expensive. The rear left one fits but the rear right one uses the same mounting bracket and interferes with the pipe.... there's room to manufacture a new mounting bracket with some aluminum from Ace.... i'll just solder it together and put some extra nut and bolt as needed. Coat it with bedliner or similar spray... Should look good.
I decided to do this just because I was impatient. I intend to do a cat back exhaust in the near future And will likely remove the entire OEM apparatus.. i'm blessed with a slight Mopar connection so will likely use the mopar cat back at some point soon.mostly for the sound.
