How can I tell if a used Gladiator has the Max Tow option?

Fenders, payload sticker, all good answers but for me, the VIN will give you more info about that than you ever expected. It will tell every little thing about that truck.
Max tow has the largest payload of any, but it will still vary some based on options from the factory.
With the vin it will give you pages of info.

I got a PDF of the window sticker before I even had the truck armed with the VIN and a computer.

Ask the seller. Most Max Tow owners will let you know it is a Max Tow.

My experience is that the vast majority of vehicle owners couldn't even tell you what trim level they own, let alone what options said trim level had. A good percentage of Jeeps are owned by non-enthusiasts, so they've likely never heard the term "Max Tow" and know what is different from the tow package they think they purchased.

Making it worse, many sales people think if there's a receiver on the back it's max tow. They don't know............

Ask the seller. Most Max Tow owners will let you know it is a Max Tow.

Dealers like Carmax have no clue.

I had the same issue, the best I was able to do was check for gvwr numbers and max tow has 6250lbs while just tow package has less. Even calling dealers half of them think you are just a crazy human and if it has a receiver it has the tow package so they will tell you yup it has the max tow while scoffing and selling another dodge charger...
