How much to service 8 speed transmission?

Iam not sure what the service interval is but Iam guessing upwards of 100k miles? As far as I know, special equipment is needed to change the oil. Any idea what this service will cost?

According to the manual, it is a sealed unit that should never need service. I would imagine 100K miles is a good service point. The dealer is supposed to be equipped to do it, if they can be convinced to do so, or if they believe it is necessary. I would expect them to charge around $500 to change the fluid and filters.

Darn good question and one I think we need to investigate further, in particular, what can we do on our own. I know the 13- F150 said it was non serviceable but then we found an in?? I will look further, you folks may be the experts here though.

I use the carfax app to track pretty much all my Maitenance. Great free tool to have on the phone imo.
