I have a 23 Diesel Willys. About a month ago I added a RedRock steel bumper and a winch. It now bottoms out too easily when going over speed bumps. I was thinking about getting a front spacer leveling kit, to tide me over until getting a proper lift. I'm not sure how much lift I need and wanted to find out the best way to measure the current rake. If I measure to the bottom of the fender centered over the wheel, I'm seeing 2 1/2" difference between front and rear. is there a better way to measure? If I measure from the ground to each end of the pinch seam, I also get about 2 1/2” difference.

This is a common problem with the diesel models. The engine alone adds about 400 pounds to the front end. The springs they use are barely adequate. The steel bumper and winch are just too much additional weight and cause the issues you are now experiencing. New springs that can handle the weight is the best solution.
