I use an electric hoist from northern tool.

I have a friend who's garage roof is covered with pulleys and ropes ( kayaks etc... it's great use of the space. Great idea with the Drywall lift Racer~x

Funny you ask! The top is too Heavy at 165 lbs without the accessories I have installed on the top, RSI stowaway table, the storage bin on drivers side and load bars. The hoist it also too narrow.

Thanks but the I read the idea mentioned somewhere on these forums a couple years ago haha..glad I tried it.

I banged out a scaffold for lifting on and off hardtop.

What the wood cost now it might be cheaper to buy steel. ? The pain in rear was setting it up right by myself without assistance, I'll leave figuring out how I did it... think outside of the box.
