I bought my first Jeep, which was an absolutely fully loaded Jeep Wrangler Levi's Edition when I turned 16. I walked into the showroom with my dad, plopped down $7,600 cash that I had been saving since I was nine. I had been doing jobs like mowing lawns, peeling potatoes, all sorts of stuff. Now many many years later, my wife and I bought a fully loaded Mojave Gladiator and we couldn't be happier.
That Jeep was one of the greatest parts of my life growing up. It taught me respect and how to take care of things and I have never forgotten the amazing times I had in that Jeep. So here we are again - trying to reincarnate our younger days.
Only thing you can't reincarnate is, as you all know, it now costs a lot more than $7,600!

The Gladiator is a beast compared to your old Wrangler. Jeep has come a long way over the years and the JL/JT is a well engineered vehicle. Being you are in Montana you have plenty of areas to explore and test out all this new technology. Happy trails to you and yours.

Huh? I bought my first Jeep in 1976, a 1946 CJ-2A, and here I am with a Mojave 45 years later! You must be that guy in the other dimension same as me, you are probably lucky and good looking like me also! Enjoy the Mojave , I’m loving mine!.....Jack

Wow, 45 years ago was 1977. I'd just graduated from college in January of '77 and got married in April of '78. I can't imagine saving $7600 at 16. That was HUGE money in those days.

Online says:

"Value of $7,600 from 1976 to 2022 $7,600 in 1976 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $39,577.57 today, an increase of $31,977.57 over 46 years. The dollar had an average inflation rate of 3.65% per year between 1976 and today, producing a cumulative price increase of 420.76%."
