I made two changes to my Gladiator pretty soon after I bought it. Both were comfortable related, a dead pedal and a set of short seat jackets for the driver's seat. Between these two mods, I find the seat in my Gladiator to be almost the most comfortable seat I have ever had in any vehicle. As far as the oil change interval, I like a relatively early first oil change, another at 5,000 miles, and then every 5,000 miles afterward.

It tells you when to change the oil, no need to guess. Push up on the directional arrows on he left side of your steering wheel until you see your tire pressure in your gauge cluster, then cycle through your oil pressure, trans temp etc. by pushing the right arrow until you see your oil life percentage. The jeep will also yell at you when it needs to happen. Congratulations and welcome to the Jeep community.

Congratulations, on next few mods I'd recommend. Drive the snot out of it for some miles. Note not abuse but Drive it, and find a good gravel / dirt road try out the 4H and 4L "duck mode" ect. Forward and some in reverse. :like:

Another question, I normally change oil in my vehicles every 5K miles. The salesman told me to change my Gladiator every 3K. Does that sound right to you?
I don’t think there’s any normal (newer) vehicle on the planet that still recommends 3K miles……. He’s just trying to make more $$ of ya.

I usually change mine every 5K miles or once a year. Watch the oil life monitor and/or just go with 5K….. in past vehicles, I’ve seen the Oil life Monitor get to 0% in the winter after only 3,000 miles but would be 50% with 5k miles In summer. So, use your judgement.

The next time you talk with your Sales guy…. You should ask him ”What’s the Oil Life Monitor do??” & then say….. If you’re telling me to change it every 3K miles, what’s the point of the Oil life Monitor?”

Never listen to those Sales guys for that kinda information. Generally, they’re clueless. My husband had to explain - to our sales guy - how the Adaptive Cruise worked. 🙄
