I got 7.5 K discount over 47 MSRP in So cal

Hi All,

Thank you for all the information in this website, I was looking for a tow machine , I always loved Gladiator , I didnt know it can tow 7600lbs
I learned the tow specs friday morning, I researched all night in the forum and got the car saturday afternoon. I wanted to share my tactics to share the knowledge.

The dealer is Huntington Beach CA, ask Sean he was very helpful .
So I saw they had what I want Sport S with MAx tow package , auto transmission + some media updates. No other dealer within 150 miles of me had any form of dealer discount except some of them had jeep 3500$ discount. These guys have 6860 $ discount before 3500 Jeep discount so sale price ended up 37K cool right? I jumped on a car and started negotiating but It wasnt smooth sailing they wanted to sell 4.8 K of dealer add ons(gps, paint protection , nitro , antitheft etc) and they said it is already in the car and they cant do any discount. (45 K msrp car in Santa monica Jeep had only 2K discount)

I did the usual tactic , I had appointment with another JEEP dealer and I just told them I will go and talk with them. When I was going away from the door they said maybe they can do sth on the ad on package , I asked for 2K discount, they said 1.5 , I said 2 they said yes to be honest I wasnt expecting them to accept. the salesperson(Sean) was also surprised we came back he though we left.

Anyway long story short they still have 38 Gladiators and discount is still there you need to finance with them to geth whole 3500 $ Jeep discount and they only have 1 Max tow left

TLDR: MSRP 47260 - 6860 (dealer discount) - 2000 Jeep Discount -1500 Jeep Ca discount +4800 Dealer Add ons(BS) - 2000 Discount from dealer ADD ons = 39700
7500 $ discount on 47K MSRP = %16 I think it is good for so Cal

Nice work! Just goes to show that everything is negotiable and that even though dealers can add some crazy things into the price, you can still recognize a deal when it’s there.

As an FYI, there is whole thread about removing the GPS thing from your Gladiator if you don’t want it/trust it.

It can actually tow more than 8000 pounds. 7650 is worst case scenario for a max tow. Once you have app and put it your vin, it will give you exact payload and tow numbers.

You did well, about like the deal I got in February. Being the last day of August didn't hurt for sure--they probably wanted more sales for the month. And, you got one of only two max tow JTs. If dealers were smarter, they would order a lot higher % of them.
