You can't cool something to LESS than what the media you are using to cool that item is. If the air temperature is 30, you can't use that 30 degree air to cool something down to 25.
Yes humidity has an impact, but the air won't take any more heat away from that item you are cooling once an equilibrium is reached.

In short, 30 degree air can't make any inanimate object 25 degrees.
Not true if a phase change occurs, i.e. evaporative cooling.

Not true if a phase change occurs, i.e. evaporative cooling.
But we weren't talking about evaporative cooling like those water fans that cools air by evaporating water.
I'm talking purely air to item contact, transfer of heat energy directly - not evaporating a liquid or a phase change where a liquid takes heat from its surroundings as it evaporates (like SWEAT).

This thread reminds me of why I don't live in Calgary anymore. Listening to my engine gnashing itself to death in those temperatures just ain't fun.

That said, I do miss driving up the Icefields Parkway.

(And when it's 42 celsius and 100% humidity here, I admit that I have moments of missing Calgary's much more temperate summers ...)
