Exhaust Cut Outs

Anybody have them on their JT?

Thinking of cutting and bolting on a QTP cut out on to the OEM exhaust. The cut out would reside between the first resonator and the suitcase muffler.

There will be a turn down tip.
Get a little more grunt out of the exhaust and have the option to go quiet.

It sounds epic just with just the first resonator and nothing behind it. I plan to put the cutout right after the resonator.

I'm keep both the suitcase and resonator. The cut out would bolt on in between the two.

When I was a young punk I had some on a El Camino, manually cable operated. They were loads of fun, eventually started leaking all the time and I ended up just putting block off plates on. Fun while it lasted. They are illegal many states if you're worried about such things.

Normally these go before the cats. Yeah its gona be loud. Kinda the point. Don't know how much you'll get after the muffler before the res. Why bother, just take off the res.

The stock configuration is...

Cat - Resonator - Muffler - Resonator

I will be installing the Cut Out in between the first Resonator and the Muffler.

Cat - Resonator - Cut Out - Muffler - Resonator

Installing it after the Cat I would have to delete the first Resonator. I did not want to do that because I want to easily go back to stock exhaust since I live in California.

Soon, this weekend. I've already installed the switch, power, and ground wires and will probably rout the control wire tonight.
