The Jeep wave program at times doesn't even reimburse the dealership cost for an oil change. I've seen some dealers pass the deficit along to customers.
Prior to Oracle coming out with a fix i bought a pair of headlight resistors. They were only 6 ohms though. One side worked, one didn't. Oracle sent me the 39 ohm resistors and it fixed my on and off issue.
You can adjust them all you want but you can't change the excessive diffraction that occurs from a light source on the bulb that is different than the halogens.
Good on you to want to change the housings.
Just installed the Oracle supplied resistors. All is good. I had halogens also. Initially i tried 6 ohm resistors which worked on one light but not the other. The 39 ohm resistors they supplied fixed the on and off issue i was having on both lights.
After adding the resistors and now having a problem with only one side I swapped the lamps and the problem followed the lamp. The one that stays on will stay lit on either side. The one that cycles on and off will do that on either side as well.
