I still don't see how any socket/wrench combo is going to fit between the airbox and back of passenger light bucket (on the 3.6L). It's crazy tight there, and basically requires you remove the airbox to aim the light with their tool.

On the driver side, there's a bit more space, but there's a nest of factory piping right behind the light that blocks almost all access. Maybe the socket & ratchet wrench works there, but I know their tool is again near impossible to use on that side and I had to pull the headlight out to make aiming adjustments.

What bothers me the most is just how their printed instructions and most YouTube installation videos just completely gloss over how useless the factory aiming tool is without removing the lights or other engine components to even use it.
I pull the airbox out. It takes less time than taking the grill out

Good morning,

We apologize to hear about the frustrations reported as we do acknowledge any feedback.

There have been a few quality reports in recent months but nothing of major concern that is consistent across the board.

However, we here at Diode Dynamics take everything mentioned to the highest degree.

We've since thoroughly inspected, reviewed, and approved the assembly process for quality assurance.

If you are experiencing trouble, please contact our customer service team at 314-205-3033, Monday-Friday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. CST, or shoot us an email at [email protected] and we'll be happy to quickly and efficiently get you taken care of without hassle.

We take pride in our Elite Series headlamps as their the first model designed, engineered, tested, and assembled proudly in the US.

This allows us compared to other imported options to trace back to the root of the issue, make adjustments, and correct any concerns in-house.

Thank you for your support!

I’m still waiting for my replacement light to ship and they are listing it as back ordered with no updates or ETA provided. Frustrating process which included me having to remove my bumper and winch to pull both lights out so I could hook it to the driver side harness and take a picture proving it doesn’t work over there either. Then reassemble everything with the bad light and now wait for the replacement to eventually ship.

I’m really not trusting the quality at this point since I’ve had material defects and had to replace both headlights in the first 4 months of owning them. Now with the difficulty in getting my warranty replacement, it makes me wonder if there is something more going on.

I’ve ordered OEM LEDs while I’ve been waiting and will either keep them on hand as backups or just give up on DD entirely and install them.

I’ve done a full LED conversion with DD including headlights, turn, marker, break, reverse and fogs. Crossing my fingers the others are more reliable since they are simpler lights.

I have a set of their Elite Max on backorder also but they have updated their site this week. When my order was placed it showed a 10 to 12 week backorder and now it is down to 1 or 2. I've only been using their products for a year or so but they have been a great company to deal with.

Good morning, Dan!

I'm sorry to hear about the frustration. Our customer service team is one of the best in the lighting industry and strives to provide the best service possible to ensure a hassle-free process if concerns arise.

With aftermarket parts such as a bumper or winch added, it can make the headlight removal process more of a hassle compared to users with a stock front end. Users that haven't added after-market accessories can troubleshoot in just a few quick minutes.

Users with the factory front-end setup with our Elite Series lamps simply need to remove the grille, remove the headlamp, and unplug the headlamp in 2-3 minutes.

Please reference the video above from 0:58 - 1:53.

On the positive side, the estimated ship date as of today 3/20 is 1-2 weeks in which your warranty order should be prioritized and ship sooner than the retail displayed timeframe.

It's important to note these lamps are the highest performance and quality on the market next to the OEM LED lamps from Jeep. Unfortunately, the set you received didn't operate as intended out of the endless units sold since the release to authorized dealers and our retail website.

For users concerned, all reports are taken to the highest degree as these lamps are designed, engineered, and assembled in-house at our HQ in St.Charles, MO.

This allows us to trace back to components, assembly, testing, and packaging to correct any issue that arises compared to other options on the market bulk ordering products from an overseas factory with no control.

For example, we had users receive lamps damaged by transport/carriers for mishandling. To take it up a notch, all packaging has been upgraded in recent months and has been through extensive drop-testing procedures.

Sadly, I’ve still not heard anything from customer service on my warranty replacement other than what’s been posted here. I installed OEM Blacked Out LEDs this weekend instead.

I love the idea of supporting a small, American made product. That is why I ordered and payed more in the first place. But with the issues I’ve had and lack of ability to promptly resolve quality issues, I’ve decided to move on.

Wishing you all the best going forward and hoping that what ever caused these issues gets resolved. The lights were amazing when they worked.

I've touched base with our customer service team to look into this situation. Do you have an email thread with a specific representative's name you can provide us?

Our team clears their emails daily and the lines are open 10-5 pm for immediate contact with a professional Diode Dynamics representative.
