I installed it on the Quadratech QRC bumper that it is made to mate to - fit beautifully as I expected/hoped. I didn't add any relay or switch or anything, but even running the cables wasn't too tough.

That looks fantastic @TxRed208 - How long did it end up taking you to install? I've heard some owners say it takes longer than the 2-4 hour window given (user dependent obviously). :muscle:

I vaguely remember mine taking close to 2 hrs. Most of that time was figuring out how to run the wires so nothing got pinched.

I even read the directions!! ?

ok shit, 12K? Is that what we need for the JT? asking for a friend...

nice looking setup. I've had my eyes on the 9k Stealth, but now maybe that's not big enough

Thank you! It probably took my friend an me a little over an hour. However, that was me cheating. He has a lift and we lifted it up to level to work on- some of the bolts can be tough to get at but up in the air it was rather easy. That also allowed us to run the wires up from below more easily. On top of that where I have little skill/ability with such things he is quite a mechanic with a well equipped shop. I can see where the wires would be the tough part to figure out without someone like him there.

im no expert - first winch (and Jeep for that matter!)

I read that you wanted 1.5 or so your vehicle GVW for your winch and gladiator is 5,800 to 6,250 lbs. I felt I was going more to the safe side andI waited for a good sale from Quadratech so I paid the same for the Stealth as the equivalent Badlands had been priced at - at the time anuway.

slim chance

Nice; Gotta love that bumper (IMO!)

It was every bit as heavy and well built as I could have hoped for even if it cost a good bit more.

Again I am no winch expert and have little experience but this particular winch is manufactured to match that bumper!

So far I’ve just done the rope stretch in the instructions and then pulled a good sized dead tree out of my yard. Seems to work great but admittedly I have no prior experience with winches.
