Installed the Rough Country powered running boards a few days ago. I like them so far and they work great. I did mount the magnets in a different location and I ran the wire for the lights through existing holes in the rear and drilled two new holes for the light wires in the front instead of just running the wire under the pinch weld. I also used some rubber plugs to run the wire through to protect them from rubbing on the metal.

Thanks for posting this. I recently got the n fab steps and was a little disappointed, and I’ve been looking at getting these.

I can post a video of them if that will help. The instruction can use some help also, so if you do get them and have any questions, let me know. I could probably do an install write up on them when I get some time.

I forgot to mention it uses a dual motor system also. One in the front and one in the rear for each side.

Smart, good thinking.
Lights appear to shine in just the right places.

Anyone run these in Canada, or snowy climates? How do they do with ice and snow buildup on them?
Awesome job on the install, they look great. Do they come with the lights?

Thanks for the information, I ran AMP Steps on my Wrangler and we just installed the AMP on my wife's 2023 Bronco, but I'll take a look at the Rough Country. The steps on mine aren't the greatest and my shoe's slip on them getting out.

I have been eyeing these as well. They look decent. Wish they went a little further forward to cover the pinch seam a bit more. For the price, it’s hard to complain though.

I am not sure, I am in southern Georgia and we really do not get snow.

These look great! I have the AMP on my JT and wouldn’t be without power steps. I’ve also had power running boards on my last two HD diesel trucks. I’m a big fan!
