I installed the Rough Country power steps on my Gladiator in September. So far I think they work great. The only thing that bothers me is the step on the left side shows more of the pinch weld when in the up position than the right side.Only maybe less than a quarter inch and no one notices it but I do. There doesn't` seem to be any way to adjust.

I haven’t checked the spacing but you can see more of the pinch weld in the front of mine also.
The picture of your right side running board looks like my right side board which to me is what it should look like.Do you have a picture of the left side?

I'm looking at this step as well. I don't see this information on their website. How tall is the step from the top of the running board to the door sill? 12 inches?

I take a picture of it tomorrow and post here.

I will measure it tomorrow and let you know.

I think you misunderstood me about the pinch weld. The gap I am talking about is when the step is in the up position my left side does not seem to fold up to the rocker panel as tight as the right side. That is the gap I am talking about.

That looks great. Didn't know RC made steps like that. After installing the factory steps (got them for free from another GA member), I still feel they're way too tall to be of much use. Some trim lok on the pinch weld would probably help it look less barren in that area.

Do these use a magnet in the door to operate?

Watching the Rough Country installation video, yes, it does use magnets at the doors. What I kind of like about it is that you're not plugging into the OBDII port or spicing the wiring harness.

If I could find out how much they drop from below the body, I could determine it they will work for me.

I'm still trying to find out if these are usable for my High Altitude. Can anyone give me the measurement from the top of the step to the top of the door sill?

Thanks

Any pictures of the magnets you used and how they are installed?

Installed the Rough Country powered running boards a few days ago. I like them so far and they work great. I did mount the magnets in a different location and I ran the wire for the lights through existing holes in the rear and drilled two new holes for the light wires in the front instead of just running the wire under the pinch weld. I also used some rubber plugs to run the wire through to protect them from rubbing on the metal.
