New to the Jeep world in the last 6 months, but I get there may be some noises involved in ownership.
However this has a dealership and off road shop baffled.

In the video you can hear an odd whine (best description I can think of) in the first couple seconds. And then it goes away in the last few seconds of the video. I tried to record this noise several times and this is the best I could get out of a phone mic. When in the drivers seat the sound seems to be coming from the area at or around the middle passenger side vent.

This whine sound starts in third gear, continues in fourth and fifth, and immediately goes away in sixth and beyond.

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,
David

Is your exhaust stock? A lot of the aftermarket exhausts will take out the factory resonator and give weird resonance issues inside the cabin.

I agree with @j.o.y.ride that these types of audio clips are hard to distinguish what is what.

I agree with the audio clips. Sorry. Best I could do. Just looking for any direction to look into next. I’ll try an early morning, no ac, fixed camera position recording this weekend and see if I can get 3rd 4th 5th sounds recorded a little better.

It is an after market exhaust (that I did not install).
Magna Flow - Rock Crawler

One more thing to add, this sound was previously much higher pitched. And did not occur as often. Initially it sounded like an electrical whine through the passenger speaker (thinking back to the days of installing a stereo system the wrong way and getting engine noise through the sound system). However it has grown to a lower tone, and occurs more often than before.

thanks for the tips and suggestions. Appreciate them.
If anyone else has anything feel free to add.
