Is this normal on a Mojave X -- high pitch whine noise?

I always figured it was the power steering. Before you take it out of park... move the steering wheel. You will hear the wine. At least mine does.

I have noticed it with out even moving the wheels. I guess i need to take a video for the ghost buster crew here. Best described as what you would think of someone doing the robot dance lol

Yeah, that is what mine sounds like. Just like a robot! It makes noise on it's own, but more if I bump the wheel when climbing in. I really only notice it in the morning, but being in the garage might amplify the sound. It is the electric power steering pump I was told. My buddies 23 JL does it also.

I hear it if im outside of the vehicle in tire wheel well area. Stops when not rolling, present in forward or reverse during start ups. I will try and get a video uploaded. I assumed it was hydraulic reservoir but perhaps it could be alternator or power steering.
A long shot…but could there be debris/rock stuck in your calipers?

If you reverse and put brakes on/off several times….it might dislodge it (if applicable)

My 2021 JL(Auto) does it in reverse also.Sounds odd to me,but nothing else seem to be wrong. The 2020 does not do it.

i had that on my grand Cherokee with a pebble in the dust cover screetch but this one is with out moving or moving on initial start up or stops with or with out wheel turn. Have not even had first oil change yet.
