So, you are saying your Tazer JL is not married... Ya sure about that.. re-think this... and read the Tazer JL instructions over carefully..

What are you saying I need to rethink? Are you suggesting it married itself to my JT or that I need to marry it for it to work? I plugged it in and that is all I did. I did not marry it to the vehicle. I never even looked at the menus. All I did was plug it in. The Live functions I listed in my post are "automatic"; they did not require me to do anything other than plug it in and they are working as advertised. I do not (at this time) need the "vehicle settings" that require it to be married.

I bet one group that supports the stop/start thing is Auto Mechanics. I remember when my wife and I picked up her BMW in Europe (just before Covid shut down the European program), I asked the person who did the delivery (a two hour long process of going through every nut, bolt and switch on the vehicle) about the stop/start function and whether it is reliable. He told us that the starter is designed to last seven times longer that the standard starter.

If you drive in any sort of traffic, you will be stopping and starting more than seven times. You may be talking dozens or even a hundred times that thing starts. I can't believe the starter can last many years with that kind of work. We shall see.

And then some. I know starters, motors, etc. - and the details of the changes.
I can't believe people are comparing starters from their childhood to these.
How about comparing the first 5 meg hard drive to the storage in your pocket on your phone.
