Greetings, I want to install new LED taillights, but I'm wondering if it will cause problems? since one day I put them on and the jeep behaved strangely and even locked the brakes while waiting at a red light. I deleted them and never did it again.

something that tried, in 1:30 of travel the ABS warning lights, stability controls and other things were activated, I noticed that the connector (STAR CAN IHS) was heating up, I found that the steam from the heating lines was the cause and I protected the connector so that the steam does not reach it and so far it is doing very well, but I don't dare install the headlights. This is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport.

You need something like JScan or a tazer to set the Jeeps computer to LED to get them to work correctly.

Part that baffles me is the steam from heating lines heating up the CANbus star connectors.
Otherwise, yeah, like cranbiz said - you can't simply install LED lighting without going into the BCM (body control module) with either software such as JSCAN, AlfaOBD, or hardware such as TAZER.
Since the brake lights are handled by the ABS, it's no surprise that things acted strangly.

What?
Your CANBUS isn’t heated with steam?
I thought the Overland had this decidedly rare option…

lol
