How do the subs do with that much power?
How do the subs do with that much power?
It has definitely been a process. The delay on the C7s is the reason I went with the C5's for now. I had the Morel Hybrid 402's both in the dash and soundbar until I decided to go with the 6.5 conversions. Hopefully the C7s are available soon.

As I said, the tweeter pods are still in Beta stage. I will update when I test another solution. I am getting great performance from them where they are, it was real easy to get a solid curve with the RTA having them shoot across the 3.5s in the dash.

The 1000/i is definitely too much power for the two W1s but it is what I had. I have been pushing them really hard expecting to either get awesome sound, or blown speakers. I have experienced neither... As I indicated, not real impressed with the sound coming from the stealthbox, this thread is making me want to try my other box today and compare now that I have the other speakers replaced. The 10s definitely play the lower frequiencies better, but the 4 6s were louder. Both JL so they both sound GREAT! just different :)

I wondered how smaller subs might sound. My last big stereo had 3 18" Kickers. Not expecting anything close to that kind of sound. Just looking for something solid all round.

As I keep waiting for everything, might be interested in whatever your final pod design ends up being. Would be wiling to buy a set if you wouldn't mind making another pair.

I just received notice that my C7 tweeters have shipped so I will be building more pods for the final product. I would be glad to make you a set, just let me know if you have a desired color or material and I will get them made.

I haven't fallen off the earth, looks like I may be waiting until the end of December for the 6.5" Have almost everything else now. When it gets closer I may hit you up on the pods.

Right now trying to figure out if I can add (2) more 10" behind the rear seats.

Those 6.5's are definitely taking a while to get back in stock. It must be killing you looking at all of that awesome gear and not being able to hear it. The wait will be worth it :)

I tried really hard to get two 10's behind the seat as well. I removed everything off of the back wall and attempted to build both a fiberglass and all MDF box. There was just not enough room. I even went to 1/2 MDF in places where the lack of rigidity would not be an issue. I finally decided to just leave them under the seat. People have been able to stuff then back there, but even with the 10W3's, it was really tight. I looked for some pictures from those attempts but did not find any, a buddy might have a couple and I can post them if he does.--- Let me know if you figure something out, I still have the two 10's and a spare 1000/1 begging to join the party :) 4 10's being fed 2000 watts of pure JL power would be GREAT!

I have made a couple different versions of the pods for friends so just send me a message when you are ready and we can get you exactly what you are looking for!
