Had 37 for over two weeks. All I did was marry and update tire size. Alarms started with notification that ESS was tripped, again … did not adjust that setting. Then after - clutch hot (which it was not … I would have smelled it, lastly the service trans light. All within 5 minutes, first freeway drive.

before tazer, everything was fine for over 2 weeks / daily commute.

I hear ya, but if you unmarried it and cleared the codes and they still came back, the Tazer probably isn't the issue.

Don't get tunnel vision on one thing. It sounds more to me like there's a wiring harness issue somewhere around the transmission. But it's hard to know or tell until some real diagnostics are done.

??. Thanks for comments and feedback.

Before I unmarried, tried to clear warning, no luck. I don’t think Tazer can clear that warning. When unmarried, warning stayed … kept truck in limp mode.

Will limp it over to dealership tomorrow am. Is what it is… I am no expert, they will inspect and help with resolution, whatever it may be.

I do “suspect” however that they are going to check everything and confirm everything is working normally and clear code. If this is the case and they clear code, reset clutch EPROM, … tazer will not be going back in my truck. Just me.

Leaning towards trying JScan. From what I’ve read on forum, seems to have a proven track record.

We’ll see. ?

Update. Dealership was able to confirm nothing mechanical. Was able to clear service Tran’s warning, rest eeprom - back to square one! ?

I did learn that via forum there is a step that I did not do / needed to do because my truck is a M6. Pretty sure I am partly at fault for what happened.

In any event. Going to return tazer snd opt for JScan. Seems a little more simple and easy to use. Cheaper, and I think will be more than enough for my needs.

Thanks again for comments / feedback. Hopefully this post will help others in the future considering Tazer.

my advice is to watch videos AND carefullly read the 15-16 pages of instructions paying attention to ALL steps before installing. If you have a m6, pay special attention to supplement material.

God Speed.

Thanks for the follow up ! Good to know you don’t have any mechanical issues. When I set up the JL Mini in my JT I thought the instruction set was overly complicated - and I write programming for industrial control systems for a living… I suspect the code running in the module must have some very specific functions to bootstrap the BCM as part of the marrying process.

He implied in his last post he did not.
So once again, like 99.999% of the time, it was user error and not the fault of the Tazer.
