Seems a bit pricey for what you get, especially considering you can get complete intakes starting at ~$140.

That's what I was thinking but doesn't the stock inlet look more than sufficient anyway? I think I might buy it just because it's so easy to put on and I don't have to mess with the sensor or anything.

It likely does more than give you a nice growl. I would think it makes air induction a lot easier because air doesn't have to go through a box to get where it's going. That probably increases your towing and carrying ability by a little bit, I would think.
