so, lets talk about a totally hypothetical situation.
ya, you already know where this one is gonna end up, but still working out if this will work.
so I LOVE these KC PRO-6 bars:
upload_2019-9-4_0-12-13.png

but I refuse to pay that coin for one.

I already have four of these sitting in boxes:
upload_2019-9-4_0-14-41.png

so I figure I could just order another pair, and a mount like:
upload_2019-9-4_0-17-17.png

then run down to the metal fab guy down the road and have him fab me a 3" L-bar so I can do this:
upload_2019-9-4_0-20-25.png

kind of like this:
upload_2019-9-4_0-23-57.png

but lower. the lights would have to line up mid height with the roofline for garage door clearance.
:involve:
SOMEBODY needs to talk me out of this...
what kinda lights do you already have? Those A-Pillar brackets look sweet......Sorry can't talk you down from a good idea!

I totally love the look of the KC Pro-6 lights.. I will get that eventually, but looks like you have landed on the LED light bar already and I am sure it will look good.

Also, that Molle for the visor is a pretty good idea, I might bite that style LOL. I was looking for a place to put my sunglasses and that might give a solution for me...

I saw a post on one of the 4WD blogs where a guy did the same thing you’re talking about with some Baja Designs lights. He found some brackets that worked without having to fab anything fancy. I don’t remember where I saw it but maybe a search will help you find it if you’re still going that way. I wanna say it was a 4Runner.

Yo, dog? Does quadratec have a JT specific mount for that lightbar you ordered? looks like some of the jeeps have different A-Pillar external designs.

Ya, I figured that out. too late, but figured it out.
The one you posted there (Brad from TrailRecon), the Quadratec one I posted above, AND the one that I ordered first are JKs.

(I don't like the Quadratec JT 'slat' design, so ordered by bar without mounts and ordered a different mount separately)
Quadratec:

JK mount initially ordered:

I THEN realized that and ordered a JL set last night.

which one is the "slat design"? The one with a bunch of cut outs?
ya, that was me trying to describe it.
I figured with all those cut-outs, hiding the wires would suck, and trying to keep it looking good (clean behind the mount) would suck more.

I like the look of the multiple round lights. It is pretty fun. But realistically I would seldom need to light up up that kind of area and I think these will add alot of cabin noise at speed. no benefits for me
