Will it work with a 25?
It's a lot different up there, bars and all, compared to the 22 I had. I had to rethink a few things on this 25 and getting to the module was a whole lot harder. Even the Redarc brake controller box has to sit differently.
It seems to. It mounts ok, but I haven't replaced the lower panel yet, because I still have to cram the Curt Spectrum controller in there somewhere . Holy heck it's a lot busier than the 2021, or even the 25 Sport S Wrangler. The lower panel is a bit different now, but it looks like it will still fit.

I couldn't believe how different a lot of the under the steering column area was from prior Jeeps.

I don't have a tazer, but I also don't like to rule out unknowns - if they add some features I really need or want, who knows. The blinky-blinky thing going from 3 to 5 would be an example.
But for me, for now - JSCAN and AlfaOBD do it all.

Is there really anything JScan does that AlfaOBD doesn't? Other than the fact that JScan has a simpler user interface?

AlfaOBD seems to handle all the possible vehicle-side stuff, just sometimes they can be hard to find. I just use the Taser for the live functions. Some of them I am so used to, I forget they are not oem features. Yes, most of them can be replicated with various other hardware solutions (ASS disable, license plate light off in reverse, hood alarm, 3rd brake light flasher), or they are there, just harder to access while driving (viewing cams, entering navigation info) or are now oem (I believe you no longer need the taser to enable the passenger seat heater with remote start). But this time of year especially, my favorite taser live feature is the ability to turn on the reverse and bed lights on from the key fob. I also like the ability to disable the 3 honks when leaving the Jeep running. If we are headed into town, I will often order something I need from Home Depot in advance, and just run inside and grab it from a locker while the wife waits in the jeep. Also, she works from home, but a few times a month she needs to go into an office for something. Since she has a manual trans, there is no remote start, so this time of year I will go out with my fob to warm it up while she's getting ready. We live in the country, but sound carries in the winter and I don't need the horn honking at 5:30am.

Then there is the fact that like you, we are loyal Jeep customers (at least for now, it almost seems like Jeep is TRYING to lose people like us). The Taser makes it simple to move all those things over to a new Jeep, instead of moving or replacing all sorts of assorted hardware bits again.

Can AlfaOBD raise your idle speed for winching and so on?

The license plate light thing is an absolute non-issue on my 25 - I've yet to wish I had put a relay in. They really changed the camera or something.

I keep looking at the tazer list of functions and keep saying - no, not anything I wish I had.... not yet, anyway.

Anchor mode would be nice, but I've never needed such thing yet. Can't say if JSCAN allows manually triggering the ABS to lock all 4 brakes - that I'd have to ask them

Wondering if anyone can tell me whether JScan offers the following:

* Enable bed outlet
* Enable aux switches
* Disable license plate lights during reverse
* Code out FAD (i.e. no codes for removing FAD)

I assume it has basic stuff like tire size and gear ratio changes, but wondering about these "enable/disable" type features.

My Tazer Mini has oddly started to become unreliable. Second time in a month that the dash menu no longer recognizes it, and my license plate lights are back...so I assume it's a similar issue again, and last time it was an absolute nightmare restoring it.
Yes, for the first 2 for sure. Did it and used it to install the front trail camera.
