Either would work, Red would be better, I used blue because that's all I had at the moment.
Can you also show me how to connect to the 12V wiring? (Picture perhaps)
Have never messed with any type of wiring on any vehicle so I need all the help I can get.
Also saw a post on the JL forum about some aux connections on the passenger side interior (glove box/door area I think) as well as by the battery. Is that where you would/could connect and if so which color wires and with the same type of connector that you used on the driver side door?
Thanks a bunch!

Here’s a link that was shared with me when I asked a similar question. This will only hold true IF your jeep came from the factory with the aux switches.

Yes I do have the aux switch panel installed and that is the post I was referring to. Do you know which one of those wires would be the one that I would need to attach to? I assume I can use one of those Posi-taps to do that as well? Thanks agian.

Yes if you do have the factory AUX switches then you could tap into the RED wire with WHITE stripe.
I tried that location first but kept blowing the 10amp fuse because I was trying to run the window module and my dashcam off the same circuit.

So I got mine installed. It took a lot longer than I thought. Struggled getting the box in place. Then it was difficult splicing into the harness wires just because you didn’t have a whole lotta room to move. But I got everything buttoned up and it works...but I noticed something and wanted to see if this was happening to anybody else.

I roll all the windows down and they work perfectly. I hit the rear passenger window to automatically roll up. Starts fine. If I then try rolling up the front passenger window before the rear passenger window is up, the rear window will stop. The front window will close perfectly and then I have to hit the rear switch again. It almost seems like you can’t roll up the front windows at the same time as the rear windows? Has anybody noticed this? Not a big deal just curious if it was only me???

Will the window stop on the up stroke if an obstruction appears? Kind of like holding a baseball without the ball, I can use three fingers and a thumb to actuate all four. Jeeps are not the first to place the switches in the center dash area. Good write up.

I have not tested having an obstruction in the window myself. Will try it out later to see what happens.

I thought someone said, on the original thread, the window wouldn't stop with an obstruction but would be nice to get some first hand reports.

Just told my daughter we'd be installing this in her Jeep this weekend.

Response.... that's awesome.

How do you get through the firewall. I can’t find any holes. Do I drill one?

Here is a video that I found to be very helpful. Only two minutes long...plug shows up around 1:40. I ended up leaving the plug in place, drilled a small hole, fed the wire through and then sealed up with rtv silicone sealant.

Thanks. Have the red wire temp tied in to test. Rears aren’t working. Fronts seem to work okay

When you say not working, are they completely dead or no auto up or down with or without key fob ?
