Finally picked up my rubicon yesterday and my 4 year old was beyond ecstatic to drive home with me from the dealer. He loves the truck. I also have a 2 year old as well. Well kids are kids, and having car seats it doesn’t leave much wiggle room for their legs. With them either kicking the back of the seats from dancing or getting excited etc I already have some scuff marks. I’m sure I could rub them off but I haven’t tried yet. Are there any seat savers that you can hang from the back other than like a beach towel or something so I don’t get scuff marks on my new seats? What have other members done?

I have a seat back organizer that I got for the backs of the seats in my Audi when my kids were young.

I also was pretty strict about feet on the seats. That will work for the 4 year old but not for the 2 year old.

My kids are also 2 years apart. The older one went behind my wife's seat which was pulled way forward because she's only 5' tall. The younger kid went behind me.

On long trips you can also take their shoes off. They like that better anyway.
Doh't let your wife dress them up in real tie shoes. Single velcro straps are where its at man.

My 12 and 13 year old are super excited for the Gladiator.

I'm picking it up Monday. They both want to know when they can drive it on some land that we own. Ha.

I miss the little ones a lot. I'm probably the 20th person to tell you this but they grow up too fast. Cherish the time. Its awesome.

Learned to live with it, my 4yr old uses the back seat like it is a floor mat lol. He has been trained to shake his boots off before getting in any car, but with winter season there is always some dirt tracked inside. Honestly life is to short to worry about little things like that, enjoy your new Jeep but also don’t be afraid to get it a little dirty. It always can be cleaned up :)

Yeah not so much afraid of the dirt. It’s the scuffs and scratches on a new 50k vehicle that I just bought yesterday. Yes it’s a Jeep, it will be going off road, on camping trips etc. But I would like to keep it new for a bit.

We have a rubicon with leather, and two kids 6 and under. Car seats are in there 24x7. I installed Bartact seat covers on the fronts and rear seats, so ncluding the rear armrest. The quality is second to none, and the customer service is just as good. Molle panels every where, and Mille seat bags for the backs of the front seats are included. The kids put their junk in them. Couldn’t be happier. Now they can climb in and try to scuff and fail. They also fit super well, and look good. All the pockets have actually increased my storage in the JT.

congrats on the new ride.

I also have a rear seat organizer that does most of the dirty work (no pun intended) but I also bought different seats for the gladiator. I also have a 2 and a 4 year old, the 4 year old moved to one of the back boosters seat that uses the seat belt instead of a harness (hes over 40lbs and 40 inch tall) I specifically looked for a thin-ish one that we can push back as much as possible. And the 2 year old, well i hope she gets to 40 lbs and 40 inch QUICKLY so that I can move her to a similar seat.

I dont know if anyone mentioned this but Also look at removing the headrests, it not much but it does make the seats flush with the back.

But as anything around kids, good luck and take it with a grain of salt and some tequila.

Yeah. They’re not the cheapest, but have zero regrets. Really nice stuff, and even a nicer company to work with.

This post hits home to a lot of people I’m sure. Saw another person post this and this is what I’m planning to get. I don’t personally need storage nor would I want my daughter kicking whatever is stored in some pockets so plain covers seem like a better idea.
