Should be close to 18 inches. We know the volume, length, and with of the bed and can calculate the missing height with H=V/(L*W)
Values are from spec sheet:
Volume of cargo box = 35.5 cubic feet (61344 cubic inches)
Length of bed = 60.3 inches (5.025 feet)
Cargo with = 56.8 inches (4.733 feet)
Gives a height of 17.91 inches (1.49 feet)
Would defiantly be interested in seeing an actual measurement and can check to see how true the spec sheet is!

18 inches looks about right when you look at the marketing photo and use the yeti cooler as reference. The are anywhere from 15.75 inches to 16 inches for that size and it looks like it is a little lower then the top of the bed rail.

The tote in front of the ice chest appears to be the one sold at Costco. It is 15 inches tall at its highest point, which is the ridge on the lid. Around 14.5 on the side. I hope it is 18 inches, as opined here and as claimed in another thread. I fear it is less. I hope to get a tape measure on the one in the Houston Auto Show by week's end.

Was at the New England Auto Show today with the specific purpose of getting this measurement. They wouldn't let me on the platform to measure and they did not have it listed in the dimension specs. I asked multiple people for it with no one being able to get me an answer. The best I could get them to do was drop the tailgate and I used the iPhone measure feature. Appears to be 16". I know it's probably not 100% accurate but I definitely think it's less than 18".

I did the same thing with my iPhone at the Detroit show today, and I was getting a measurement anywhere from 17-18.5ā€. I really wish Iā€™d brought a tape measure, because they have several on the floor and people were climbing up in the beds. The good news is, seeing it in person makes me like it even more! My wife told me not to bother bringing one home without a lift and 35ā€™s. Iā€™m a lucky guy!

That's some woman. lol Luckily mine will let me do whatever i want to my JT, but she doesn't have a clue what a lift or 35's are. Makes buying tools easier though. =)

I just got a call from a salesman at NW Jeep in Beaverton. He told me there's a Gladiator at the auto show in Portland right now.

So far we have not seen any Gladiators with a soft top on at a show. Last year at the auto shows they were excited to demonstrate the functionality of the new zipperless soft top for the JL. If anyone is at a show and has the ear of Jeep rep I would really like to know how the soft top will function. Specifically will it fold all the way down or just sit in the sunrider position. If the later, how much effort to take it off completely?

This issue has been a concern of mine for some time now, I just didn't want to sound like a broken record so I have not brought it up for a bit. But now that the JT is showing up at shows across the country I think it is a good time to get an answer.

Great point. I know for a fact that it will not fold down onto the top of the bed. It goes back on to a Sunrider position on top of the rear of the roof. To take top portion off completely must certainly take some time and at least 2 people to do that. Jeep has not shown any pictures or videos of how to do this.

In one video someone from Jeep showed how to get it into that Sunrider position. And in that video for about 3 seconds you can see him holding one of the corner sections of the rag top in one hand.

I know that you will be able to order a bag to hold the rear window of the rag top. It looks to be a plastic rear window. And one person at Jeep told me on the phone that they would make a glass rear window as an option for the rag top. But you will not see that listed as optional on their build site. So it remains to be seen if he gave me correct info or not.

Have not seen any videos or pictures of anyone taking off the rear side sections or of the removal of the rear window. Would love to see it though.

Anyone know or want to speculate on what trim this is? I'm guessing its a sport s just decked out with mopar accessories like the rubicon hood but sahara 18" wheels.

Steel bumper group and the high clearance fenders , domed hood suggest its a Rubicon

It also has the high fenders, so I guess that itā€™s a Rubicon. Strange that it doesnā€™t have a Rubicon sticker on it.
