What's the benefit of tube doors vs. going door-less? Sense of security? Aesthetics? State/local laws requiring doors?

All of the above. In PA you have to have mirrors and doors. Technically, the tube doors don't even make you legal according to some L.E.O.s, but I would disagree.
Regs say doors "of the type" of OEM.

For $490 I was ready to buy a set, but sadly that looks like its only for the front two. Full set is $980.

Yeah Ive heard of friend's getting fines for no doors in PA. they seem to be REALLLY against it lol

I had tube doors on my JK but maybe used them once or twice....most of the time I preferred just doorless. Not gonna fork over 1k for tube doors.

Would however fork over more for real half doors with uppers that fit properly.

JCR has nice half doors- not tube, but still nice. Real hinges, great hardware, paintable, but about $1200 for a set

Bestop said in another thread that they will be bringing the enclosures to these, but did not give a date as to when they will be available. Really hoping them or somebody has something soon. I really want something I can use to cover the side when rain comes.

Hahaha no that’s second hand but I struck gold. They were still in the original box never mounted. I had to open the boxes

Maybe its just me but sure does seem like Bestop is really hesitant to bring JL/JT items to market. JL has been out now going on 3+ years?
