Sorry to hear about that. Losing your dog is awful.

I have not done Black Bear, but many have. Always best to go in a group.

Got a snag on my end but shouldn't hinder the trip. Discovered an issue with the Gladiator's front end that I thought the dealership caused. Took it by and to their credit they owned up to the issue and are fixing everything for free.

They caused an offset issue with the tires which ended up rubbing into my front shocks and carving a nice big groove in the sidewalls. I didn't catch it until after a tire rotation so now all 4 tires are grooved. The dealership is hoping to resolve it asap but they have to replace all 4 tires and are installing wheel spacers to correct the offset issue and replacing the front shocks. I'm hoping to have it back by the end of the week but we'll see. They've got me in a white gladiator sport at the moment.

I lost my 15 year old basset (Bogie) to cancer about 2 years ago. This October got Strummer.
I'm sorry for the loss.

Sorry for that ,there was no warning .I let her out to do her thing.
Let her in and I noticed blood on the kitchen floor thought she cut her paw. No blood coming out her rectum pretty good. Rushed to vet they didn't have a clue could not stop bleeding was thinking ruptured cyst.I could not watch her bleed to death.Breeder raised her price by a grand .
Had to throw out seat covers so much blood.Just put new ones on last night and shock skids go on sat.
Heres my set up 2 inch mopar lift,35 inch tires, rubican so factory skids, diff .skids, metal cloak support bracket. Would that get me through the trails ?

I have no lift and 33s. I think its more pucker factor for most of it. I'm sure there might be some more technical or challenging spots though in some spots.

I think you will be fine. I did Imogene, Ophir, and Yankee on 35s no lift.
@Waggs is my poster boy for the stock Rubicon.
He does everything you can imagine. This video shows me and him doing a really nasty section that required full flex from me, but he hit his lockers and breezed. I don't have lockers. Watch me spin a bit.

We all have recovery gear too.

That's what I am trying to get out of my head the pucker factor. coming from flat land Indiana not familiar with mountains.

Pucker is real. But frankly I was most scared on Pee Wee's Crossing in Missouri thanks to a bad line that had me at 26 degrees sideways

Everyone has stuff they don't care for....Shelf roads for me are fine, for the most part. but getting tipped sideways is not my jam. I do plan to ask for a spotter on the steps of Black Bear. No shame in it.
