Update# 3

9/17 Ordered
9/22 Status D
10/8 Status D1 with estimated ship date of 11/5

UHG! This is putting me right up against my camping trip. I'm going to be devastated if I'm not taking it with me. I'm hitting the road on 11/6, so I guess there is still a chance if it ships early. I'm not sure how the "estimated ship date" compares to the estimate of when it's available at the dealership.

Anyone know?
The estimated ship date usually lines up with the actual start build date... its only a couple days to go from start to ready to ship.

How long do you think it takes to ship once completed? Shipping time to dealer?

There is no known algorithm to predict shipping time from build complete. Days to weeks ...

Ah ok sounds like 2 week for shipping! Thank you!
2 wks was for 250 miles - probably all by road transport. California is a bit further... all depends on how full the train is when your JT rolls into the loading yard. Could sit for a day or several weeks waiting for the train to start rolling. Then held up for unloading at each depot between Toledo and California, then waiting for a road transport once it gets to the depot near you. That’s why I say there is no way to predict how long the wait will be.
See ship time from Toledo to NC (~600 miles) in my signature below.

Ah ok that makes sense. My Jeep is in Idaho so a little closer than Cali. Hoping for a first week of Nov. We will wait and see., Thanks again.

The problem is not the actual time to ship. I was being facetious when I said "15 days to ship 250 miles." It was very likely only one day, or even half a day, once it was loaded on a truck. The problem is logistics. They marshall with other FCA vehicles to fill a transport trailer or train car going to the same destination. If it goes by train, then they'll do the same thing at the receiving end to get a full trailer going to your dealership.

Right I knew what you meant. I figured it was 2 weeks for the trip but not total time on the road. I was just trying to get A feel for how long with all of the logistics issues etc. Thanks.
